for giving me the opportunity & the Blessing and Ability to have a Love and Passion for ice Sculpting & Food also . Chef Jason Lewis has been cooking for over 30 years in New Orleans. In 2013 he started a catering company called it J Lewis Catering which offered Ice Sculptures with his events. He realized people were inquiring more about the ice sculpture then the food so he started J Lewis Ice Carving and business has been Awesome Adventure.
Chef was Executive Sous Chef at Marriott Convention Center and Sous Chef at Royal Sonesta where he made up seasonal menus and did astonishing Ice Carvings for Conventions and Holiday Buffets. Chef was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana where he started off as a dishwasher at Rick’s Café in Gretna. He always had a passion for cooking since he was 8 years old when he made breakfast for his grandfather. His grandfather requested pancakes, eggs and bacon on weekends and the food was made as if an adult had prepared it. In High School He worked the weekends as a dishwasher and when one of the cooks had quit he stepped up and became a fry cook. Chef Jason loved cooking so much he decided to join a Culinary Institute to harness his skills and worked under the Best Chefs in New Orleans. One of the Chefs and Mentors is Chef Ron Willmon from Allegro Bistro where he was trained on cooking technique and food cognizance. When Chef is not coming up with cutting edge Food & Ice Carving
abstractions he loves spending time with his Beautiful Family.
